Loganair Delay and Cancellation Compensation

What Loganair says about compensation for delayed and cancelled flights, how to claim, the time limits and what to do if it is refused.

Loganair says compensation for a long delay or a short-notice cancellation can be claimed through its online form or by writing to its customer relations team. Consumer Protection UK is independent and is not connected to Loganair. This page sets out what Loganair itself says, checked on 4 October 2026.

Short answer: Loganair says £220 is payable for a delay of over 3 hours, measured at arrival, unless weather or other extraordinary circumstances caused it. Cancellations can qualify when you were told less than 14 days before departure.

Delays

  • Under 3 hours: not eligible.
  • Over 3 hours: £220, except where weather or other extraordinary circumstances caused the delay.
  • The delay is counted by when you arrive, not when you leave.

Cancellations

Loganair says you can be eligible if you were notified less than 14 days before departure, unless extraordinary circumstances applied. It excludes cases where you had 14 days or more notice, or were offered acceptable re-routing.

How to Claim and Time Limits

  • Use Loganair’s online claim form, or write to its customer relations team (the address is on its page).
  • Loganair asks you to allow up to 28 days for a response before using any third-party service.
  • Its page gives 21 days from arrival for delayed baggage and 7 days for damaged baggage.
  • The legal time limit to claim compensation is 6 years in England and Wales and 5 in Scotland, so the airline’s own 28 days is not a cut-off for your rights.

If Loganair Does Not Resolve It

Loganair’s page points to the Civil Aviation Authority’s Passenger Advice and Complaints Team (PACT) if you are not satisfied. See our Loganair complaints guide, or the general guide on flight delay compensation.

Official page: Loganair compensation (opens in a new tab). Check it before you claim.
