Refunds, notice and minimum terms
Spotify says Premium stays until the end of the billing period, then reverts to free. Cancelling a free trial moves you to free straight away. Spotify does not refund payments made through partners; request those from the partner.

How to Cancel

  1. Go to your Spotify account's subscription management page.
  2. Choose to cancel Premium.
  3. Confirm; Premium continues until your next billing date, then switches to free.

Useful to Know

  • Family/Duo: only the plan manager can cancel.
  • If you pay via a mobile or internet provider or partner, cancel with them.
  • Zero-priced free trials cannot be reactivated once cancelled.

Your Rights, Whoever the Company Is

  • If you signed up online or by phone, you normally have a 14-day cancellation period (with exceptions, for example where you have already started using digital content).
  • If you were charged after a free trial and the renewal or price was not made clear, ask for a refund and say so in writing. Your card provider can help if the company will not.
  • You can ask your bank to stop a card or Direct Debit payment you have cancelled. Keep your cancellation proof.
  • If you subscribed through Apple, Google or another app store, you must cancel there, not with the company.

Free letters: cancel and stop payments, free trial turned into paid, cancel a gym membership.
