Refunds, notice and minimum terms
Google says you keep access to the end of the billing period and aren't charged again. Refunds depend on subscription type: unused prepaid plans can be refunded, past subscription periods generally can't, with limited exceptions.

How to Cancel

  1. Open subscriptions in Google Play and select the subscription.
  2. Tap Cancel subscription and follow the prompts.
  3. YouTube Premium: go to youtube.com/paid_memberships, choose Manage membership, then Deactivate.

Useful to Know

  • Uninstalling the app does not cancel.
  • YouTube Premium bought via Apple or Google Play must be cancelled there.
  • Some apps allow pausing instead.

Your Rights, Whoever the Company Is

  • If you signed up online or by phone, you normally have a 14-day cancellation period (with exceptions, for example where you have already started using digital content).
  • If you were charged after a free trial and the renewal or price was not made clear, ask for a refund and say so in writing. Your card provider can help if the company will not.
  • You can ask your bank to stop a card or Direct Debit payment you have cancelled. Keep your cancellation proof.
  • If you subscribed through Apple, Google or another app store, you must cancel there, not with the company.

Free letters: cancel and stop payments, free trial turned into paid, cancel a gym membership.
