Eurostar's Compensation

  • How Much

Eurostar says compensation is based on the price paid for the delayed leg: 60 to 119 minutes, an e-voucher worth 30% or a 25% cash refund; 120 to 179 minutes, 60% voucher or 50% cash; 180 minutes or more, 75% voucher or 50% cash. Bonus loyalty points are another option. source

  • How to Claim

Eurostar says to claim within three months of the delay on its website using your original ticket details. E-vouchers must be redeemed within 12 months; cash refunds go to the original card or by bank transfer. source

Cancellations and Help

  • Cancelled Trains

Eurostar says that if a cancellation would make you arrive 60 minutes or more late, you can choose a full refund of the affected journey or postpone it. If you take the next service and arrive 60 or more minutes late, you can claim delay compensation. source

  • Help While You Wait

Eurostar says it makes every effort to provide refreshments, books hotels where possible for customers who cannot reach their onward connection, and covers reasonable hotel or taxi costs with receipts. source

Good to Know

Small things that make your complaint stronger.

Eurostar's voucher offer is worth more than its cash offer, but cash may suit you better if you will not travel again soon.
